Corporate identity and logo design for DataSens, North East
DataSens asked Peacock Carter to develop a strong corporate identity and logo design to represent their 'online tribe'.
The brief: bold logo design
The initial brief was to develop a striking and yet generic mark that captured a wider sense of 'community' and 'data' in one.
The solution
The solution was a modular corporate identity system, revolving around the concept of three discs. The mark represents DataSens with:
- The 3 discs presenting an image of a community (people viewed from above) alongside a 'tribe' - with two tribesmen (or women) alongside a burning fire.
- The 2 darker disc representing a 'reel-to-reel' data collection
- The single red disc representing a more modern compact disc
The result
The result is a striking logo design and corporate identity system that is flexible and yet consistent, and a constantly evolving community website.
