Peacock Carter, the North East web design agency, have an opening for a part time web developer working primarily at our offices in the Design Works building in Gateshead.
This position is initially for a three month contract with an immediate start, with the intention of becoming a full time permanent member of the team depending on performance.
This job is ideally suited to an undergraduate studying an Internet related degree, Software Engineering, or Computer Science, or for a recent graduate looking to prove themselves and get into the industry.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, self motivated backend web developer, with excellent skills in PHP and MySQL, who is also capable to dip in and out of front end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) as required. We work as a team, developing Object-Oriented PHP code, so OOP and clean coding abilities are essential, as well as at least an understanding of version control.
