Tanjina: our Newcastle web design intern, part 2

As you may remember, we've had a university student on a web design placement with us for the past 6 weeks, and today is her final day.

What have you been up to since the last blog post?

It's my last day working at Peacock, Carter and Associates, a web design company based near Newcastle-upon-Tyne. Since my last blog post, I have been working on many different websites such as a web application, an online shop and redesigning a charity organisation website...I have also created my own blog and as a result of successfully creating this, I have also helped design a blog for Michael.

In addition to this, I have also been testing websites, including a university website for bugs and I have tried using my web design skills to correct these bugs [before the website went live]. I have also tried to expand on my current web design skills by experimenting with more complex web-design skills: I have creates a drop-down navigation menu using mostly CSS and the least JavaScript.

What have you enjoyed most?

From all the work that I have carried out during my work placement, I have enjoyed working on each and every project as it came to me as a new challenge.

As every project is different, I have learnt a lot on different web layout, structures and designs. However, I hope to improve on the graphical aspect of my skills in the future as it will greatly complement with my web design skills...my work placement has been very successful as I have learnt a lot in the past 6 weeks.

Web design intern, from our point of view

From our point of view, it's been enjoyable having someone so enthusiastic about web design working alongside us, and useful to have another set of eyes to look at projects old and new.
