What A Week!
It's been quite a week at Peacock Carter!
Lots of new designs have came off the production line (aka Richard): two for existing websites which we manage, which we decided needed a spruce up! The new designs are great, and should make those sites a lot better (i.e. shinier and easier-to-use) than before, but it also means we need to upgrade the framework those sites are running on, to be powered by Toucan CMS. I’ll post another update once I’ve sorted that out.

Web Designers & Developers - What To Look For
We’ve a client who was paying £100 a year for their (non-standard, .cc) domain name (for comparison, a .co.uk domain name is currently £6.09 for two years, including VAT, through 123-Reg). I can’t say I was surprised to hear this - quite a few of our clients are amazed at how inexpensive things such as domain names and web site hosting can be. Some web design companies do take advantage of those who know very little about the World Wide Web and hopefully, I’ll be able to prevent a few more dupes in the future with what follows - what to look for in a web designer or developer.

Finally, we have our blog up and running! Client work and other projects really have been keeping us busy: so busy, that it took us 7 months to get round to creating this skin for WordPress and getting the blog set up properly. Thankfully, most of our site is almost done, so the blog should receive regular updates from now on!
